Lucy Francis - Creative Director
A former sports acrobat, tumbler, and British masters diving champion. Lucy began circus training in 1998, in preparation for the spectacular Central Show at the Millennium Dome (and went on to perform in the show through the year 2000). Lucy has now worked as a circus artist for over two decades, and works both locally and internationally - alongside choreographing and directing circus acts and shows. Nik Litton - Operations Director and Lead Rigger
At age 32, Nik ran away to London to study a degree at the National Centre of Circus Arts - he graduated in 2001, specialising as an aerial cradle catcher and acrobalance base. Nik then teamed up with Lucy Francis and joined 'The Flying Dudes' flying trapeze troupe, touring the UK in the summer of 2002. In 2002, Nik and Alex Frith co-founded a circus training space in Stratford, called 'The Hangar' 2002-2007; which transformed over the decades to become ‘AirCraft Circus Academy’ - now housed in The Royal Borough of Greenwich. Highlights include: performing acrobalance at the Golden Jubilee at Buckingham Palace; juggler in Pagliacci at the Royal Opera House; Teeterboard base for Charlie and the Chocolate Factory; Rigging on Britain's Got Talent; Rigging the London 2012 Closing Ceremony; performing and rigging for Secret Cinema’s Moulin Rouge; Circus trainer for Esther Benjamin's Trust in Kathmandu. |
